Chiều 29.6.2025, Khách Sạn Hải Âu – Seagull Hotel hân hoan chào đón sự trở lại của GS. DUNCAN HALDANE, nhà khoa học đạt giải Nobel Vật lý năm 2016, một trong những nhà vật lý lý thuyết có ảnh hưởng sâu rộng nhất trong lĩnh vực vật lý chất rắn hiện đại.
Sự hiện diện của Giáo sư tại Quy Nhơn lần này tiếp tục khẳng định vị thế ngày càng quan trọng của thành phố trong bản đồ khoa học Quốc tế, đặc biệt là thông qua các hoạt động của Trung tâm Quốc tế Khoa học và Giáo dục liên ngành ICISE – nơi kết nối tri thức và khoa học toàn cầu.
Ngoài Giải Nobel, GS. Haldane còn được vinh danh với nhiều giải thưởng danh giá khác:
Huy chương Dirac (2012) do Trung tâm Vật lý Lý thuyết Quốc tế (ICTP) trao tặng
Giải Oliver E. Buckley về vật lý ngưng tụ (1993) của Hội Vật lý Hoa Kỳ (APS)
Thành viên của Viện Hàn lâm Khoa học Quốc gia Hoa Kỳ
Thành viên của Hội Hoàng gia Anh (Fellow of the Royal Society)

* On the afternoon of June 29th 2025, Seagull Hotel warmly welcomed back Professor DUNCAN HALDANE, who was winner in Physics 2016 Nobel Prize, one of the most influential theoretical physicists in the field of modern solid state physics.
The presence of the Professor in Quy Nhon this time continues to affirm the city’s increasingly important position on the international science map, especially through the activities of ICISE – International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education – a place to connect global knowledge and science.
